BlackApp will be a personal security app for Nigeria, allowing users to securely log their travels and automate safety alerts. Whether visiting a hotel, a club, or any new place, our system will ensure trusted contacts are kept in the loop if a user doesn't check in as planned.

User Will Download & Open App

The journey will begin. The user will find BlackApp on their app store and open it for the first time.

The app will check if the user is new or returning to direct them to the correct screen.

New users will sign up with their email or phone, while existing users will log in to access their account.

Verify / Authenticate

For security, new users will verify their account. A crucial step to ensure authenticity.

Add Primary Contacts

The user will add trusted contacts who will be alerted in case of an emergency. This is the core of the safety net.

Enable Background Location

This will be vital for the app to track journeys and send alerts even when it's not open.

Dashboard

Setup will be complete! The user will land on the main dashboard, ready to start a secure journey.

Journey Starts (Timer = 0)

The user will log a new destination. The system will immediately start a countdown timer in the background.

Upon arrival, the user will choose from multiple ways to confirm their safety, from a simple tap to providing verification.

The system will continuously monitor if the user has completed any of the available check-in actions.

If 'Yes', the journey is marked safe. If 'No', the automated escalation process will begin.

Level 1 Alert: Notify Contacts

After 4 hours with no check-in, an initial alert will be sent to the user's primary contacts.

The system will check if 12 hours have passed since the journey started without a check-in.

Level 2: Escalate Alert

The situation will be more urgent. A high-priority alert will be sent to contacts and flagged for admins.

The system will check if a full 24 hours have elapsed without any confirmation of safety.

Level 3: Notify Admin

This is a critical alert. A central admin will be notified to review the case immediately.

Admin Authorizes?

The admin will assess the situation and decide whether to involve authorities.

Notify Authorities

With admin approval, all relevant data will be securely forwarded to the appropriate authorities.

Journey History & Post-Travel Actions

After a journey is complete, users will be able to review their history, add comments for their records, or report a location if necessary.

User Will Navigate to 'Journey History'

From the main dashboard, the user will access the screen that lists all their past, completed journeys.

The user will tap on a specific trip from the list to view its details, such as destination and time.

The user will decide whether to add a private comment or report the location for a safety concern.
